Democratizing Test Prep & Tutoring
We are on a mission to expand student access to local test prep & tutoring programs
About TPAPT
The Association of Test Prep, Admissions, and Private Tutoring (TPAPT) is a national consortium of more than 12,000 locally owned and independently operated tutoring and college advising programs.
We exist to strengthen the independent tutoring sector by helping owner-operators, small firms, and education entrepreneurs compete effectively with large commercial test prep companies. Our focus is practical: better tutoring outcomes, stronger businesses, and higher standards of instructional quality.
TPAPT is built around a shared commitment to student success and professional integrity. Members, affiliates, and partners observe a Code of Professional Ethics grounded in clear expectations, transparent practices, and straightforward tutoring guarantees that prioritize accountability and measurable results.
As a nonprofit association, TPAPT provides:
- Standards-based SAT/ACT tutor training for new and experienced educators
- Professional development focused on tutoring pedagogy and instructional effectiveness
- Operational and marketing support for independent education providers
- Partner resources that help small tutoring organizations scale sustainably while maintaining quality
Whether you are an experienced educator, a new tutor building your practice, or an owner-operator growing a local tutoring business, TPAPT offers a professional community designed to help you improve outcomes and strengthen your organization.
If you believe in the power of education, operate with integrity, and have an entrepreneurial mindset, we invite you to explore the community and join us.

Founder: Â Kevin Organisciak, M.Ed.
Kevin has a background in Educational Psychology and Organizational Behavior, with extensive experience leading high-performance teams in the test preparation industry.
He previously served as Vice President of Kaplan Test Prep’s Northeast Territory, where his teams achieved record-level growth in revenue, profitability, and—most importantly—measurable student score improvements.
In 2004, Kevin co-developed the Kaplan Higher Score / Money Back Guarantee, an early industry innovation that helped redefine accountability in test preparation. The model was built on a simple but powerful principle: shared responsibility between student and instructor for achieving measurable academic outcomes.
That concept of shared accountability remains central to TPAPT’s training philosophy, certification standards, and program design.
